Aczone is a prescription acne gel that uses an ingredient called dapsone in a 5% concentration. It is approved for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris, and they claim that your dermatologist may tell you it's just right for you. However, it's only meant for external use.

Pros

Aczone has a proven ingredient. Dapsone has been proven in multiple clinical study to clear acne after several weeks when used in a gel or cream form in 5% concentrations, which isn't bad to say the least.

Cons

Unfortunately for them, there are natural products that work within days instead of weeks. In addition, quite frankly speaking, if you take dapsone internally, it results in the complete breakdown of red blood cells, and using it topically can result in redness, irritation, peeling, itching, scarring, etc. So it's not really all that appealing, especially with the long wait time in many cases.

Conclusion

We would not actually recommend using Aczone. It does not promote the relief of acne, and it won't help you to achieve your other goals in general. There are certainly better options than Aczone, and you would be well suited in general to find them instead.
