Pros
Differin is a prescription meaning they have a proven ingredient in the proven amounts that could potentially help you to clear your acne and get the generalized results you are looking for. It has been relatively popular, and they have had relative success.
Cons
Unfortunately, adapalene is used in such small amounts because quite frankly it causes a lot of side effects. Benzoyl peroxide is harsh of course, but adapalene is considerably worse and will do considerable damage to the skin at large, almost making it worse than the original acne and sometimes not even getting rid of acne at all.
Conclusion
Differin takes a few weeks to really even make a positive impact on acne at all. It does not give you the results that you often want, at least not without a price. There are plenty of other valid products out there, and you can definitely choose a great alternative to Differin.
