They claim that it will instantly kill off bacteria that has been connected efficiently to rosacea, and it will give you the results you are looking for. It is the most popular version of products meant to deal with rosacea.
Pros
Metrogel actually does work to clear up rosacea. It kills off bacteria, and quite frankly it has been shown to be effective without the serious consequences of a chemical peel for example.
Cons
They don't actually have the ability to do this without making certain things worse. Rosacea is characterized by easy flushing, redness, sensitivity to the sun, peeling, and bumps sometimes. Metrogel often makes the skin red, peeling, sensitive to the sun, etc. The only thing that is really different is the bumps often associated with rosacea.
Conclusion
We would not recommend using Metrogel if you don't have to. It comes with consequences to the skin that can really do long term damage. Despite what you may think, there are other alternatives available to the average consumer. You just have to do the job of finding them, which can be of course difficult.
